When
a meteor exploded early Friday above the Chelyabinsk region of Russia, lighting up the sky and injuring at least 1,000, Twitter users were roused from their slumber.
The news broke in the United States just before midnight and it was hours before experts said the Russian meteor strike wasn't related to Friday's near-Earth flyby of 150-foot asteroid.
One user was quick to point out some astrological semantics.
Many looked to the Bible for explanations.
Others connected the meteor to other current events for laughs.
And others decided it was time to prep for something larger.
