Actor Scott Baio revealed that Chachi loves Donny, setting off a surge of reaction to the conservative “Happy Days” star’s endorsement of Donald Trump. Twitter lit up on the news.

Baio made the endorsement on Fox News on Saturday, telling “Justice with Judge Jeanine” host Jeanine Pirro: “It’s very simple, because when he speaks I understand him. He speaks like I speak. He communicates with people very well.”

Describing himself as a conservative independent, Baio said he wants Trump to go to Washington and “blow it up,” adding that he’s done with Republicans, saying they’ve lied and conned him.

“They’re going to attack whomever the Republican nominee is, and we need somebody to relentlessly, relentlessly attack Hillary. That’s the only way we’re going to win. Because this getting above the fray and not getting in the dirt and we’re better than that doesn’t work anymore,” Baio said.

Baio previously supported Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, sharing a photo with the politician on Twitter last year, Fortune noted. Walker dropped out of the race in September.

Other’s in Hollywood who support Trump include Jon Voight, Ted Nugent, Aaron Carter, Kid Rock, Stephen Baldwin, and Willie Robertson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Baio explained his conservative stance to Pirro, saying “Conservatives want you to live your live; Liberals want you to live their life.”

He said many liberals share a like mindset with him but the word Republican has become a bad word.

Critics took to Twitter to blast the endorsement.
