Scott Baio, the former "Charles in Charge" actor who has endorsed Donald Trump for president, may have sparked a trend called #TrumpMovement on Saturday when he gave the name “Trump” for an order at Starbucks.
Baio, a vocal supporter of the billionaire businessman and his proposed policies, claimed on Twitter that the barista refused to call out the name.
But the encounter piqued the interest of Twitter users, and a new #TrumpMovement — or the act of giving the GOP front-runner's name in place of one's own at coffee shops or fast-food restaurants — was born.
Many repeated the stunt, with varying results.
Baio appeared on Fox News over the weekend to voice his support of Trump’s proposals on such issues as reforming the tax code, immigration, and repealing Obamacare.
Trump later tweeted a clip of the actor’s interview with Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo.
Baio’s experience at Starbucks on Saturday wasn’t the first time Trump supporters have taken aim at the coffee chain. In November, Trump suggested a possible boycott over the company’s decision to change its Christmas-themed cups.
“Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don't know. Seriously, I don't care. That's the end of that lease, but who cares?"
Trump said at the time, according to CNN. "If I become president, we're all going to be saying Merry Christmas again, that I can tell you. That I can tell you."
