“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star Scott Disick has been hit by a second hard loss in two months — his father died Friday, just two months after his mother passed away.

Jeffrey Disick of New York was apparently in Los Angeles when he died. No cause of death has been reported, but Yahoo Celebrity noted that Disick has talked on TV about his father’s struggles with diabetes and heart problems.

Disick has two children with Kourtney Kardashian, Penelope and Mason. “The whole family is so devastated and Scott is beside himself,” a source told E! Online. “Scott is an only child with no remaining family.”

Disick has not spoken publicly about Bonnie Disick’s death, which occurred in November in New York after a long illness. Disick and Kardashian were in New York the week that she died.

A regular poster on Twitter where he has 3.8 million followers, Disick has not put anything on his account there since New Year’s Eve.

Kourtney Kardashian continued to post to her Instagram and Twitter. She didn’t mention Disick’s loss, but fans sent their sympathies anyway:

“Sorry for your loss Stay strong Scott,” wrote one.

Fans pointed out that no matter what your feelings are about Disick and the Kardashians, losing two parents so quickly is a terrible tragedy.

“Losing both parents within a span of two months, the emotional toll on him is overbearing. My most sincere condolences go out to him and pray that he is able strive through such a traumatic time in his life,” wrote a commenter on the E! story.
