New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton bought 100 Devon Still jerseys after the Cincinnati Bengals announced all proceeds from the jersey would be donated to childhood cancer research.
Still, a defensive tackle on the Bengals’ practice squad, has a 4-year-old daughter, Leah, battling Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer.
Still was cut from the Bengals recently due to injuries but was added back to the practice squad with the team so he could retain his health benefits.

The profits from the sale of Still’s No. 75 jersey will go toward Cincinnati Children's Hospital, the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, where Leah is being treated, and other pediatric cancer research efforts.
According to ESPN, Payton was “moved” to make the gesture and pay for the jerseys “out of his own pocket” when he heard about Still’s daughter on the radio on Tuesday.
Still tweeted his thanks for the purchase on Wednesday.
According to Jeff Berding, director of sales and public affairs for the Bengals, Still's jersey sold more in the first 24 hours of the donation drive than any other Cincinnati player's jersey ever has in one day, ESPN reported. Berding also said many of the jerseys were bought by people from other states.
Still set up a campaign for his daughter on the fundraising website pldgit.com in July. It allows for a per-sack donation when the Bengals defensive players sack their opposing quarterbacks during the 2014 season.
On the fundraising website, Still said he is dedicating his season to his daughter.
“In the four years of life that she has had, she has been through way more than I have in 24. Her courage, strength and high spirits through it all is nothing short of inspirational.”
He said he tries to communicate with his daughter as much as possible when he can’t visit her in the hospital.
"I FaceTime her all the time. She loves it, a lot,"
Still told ESPN. "But it's hard for me to FaceTime her because it's like she goes through different procedures. So sometimes I'll FaceTime her and she'll have tubes in her nose that I've never seen, or there will be tubes sticking out of her neck. I try to keep a straight face on there and keep smiling so that she can keep smiling."
