Rex Tillerson's days as secretary of state are numbered, Newsmax says in an exclusive new report.

With Tillerson most certainly departing the State Dept. in 2018, Newsmax reveals the top 12 potential replacements President Trump may choose.

The Newsmax report notes that current CIA Director Mike Pompeo is considered his first choice, but key factors are weighing against his selection.

Other top contenders include John Bolton, the former U.N. ambassador, and General Jack Keane.

The list includes surprise choices including former Bush National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley and U.S. ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman.

Another potential pick is James Woolsey, the former CIA director who has served as a Trump foreign policy adviser.
