Machine Gun Kelly made quite an impact during his debut appearance as a musical guest on "Saturday Night Live." The rapper and singer-songwriter won audiences over after delivering a solid performance of two of his latest songs, but it was a fall off stage that placed him firmly in the limelight.

The tumble came during the end credits of the sketch comedy show. Guest host John Krasinski had just delivered a short message of thanks to cast and crew when an excited Kelly tried to pick up his "SNL" friend Pete Davidson. He lost his footing and stumbled off the stage with Davidson. They quickly recovered and returned to the stage seemingly uninjured. Undeterred, Kelly then jumped onto Davidson's shoulders.

Earlier that day, Kelly drew attention when he carried his girlfriend, Megan Fox, through crowds of fans and paparazzi and into the NBC studios. He shared footage of his chivalrous act on Twitter.

"Good morning NYC" he captioned the video.

Fox later took to Instagram to gush over Kelly.

"SNL week. Best performance that show has ever seen," she captioned a series of photos of the pair together shortly before Kelly's performance.

Kelly and Fox have been an item for several months, after meeting in March while filming "Midnight in the Switchgrass" in Puerto Rico. The "Transformers" star had recently separated from her husband, Brian Austin Green, when they made their relationship public shortly after. In December Fox officially filed for divorce from Green and last week sparked engagement rumors after she was spotted wearing a ring on her left ring finger.

She and Kelly did not publicly address the speculation but Fox seemingly denied the rumors when she posted a photo of herself wearing a ring that reads "F--K YOU," according to Page Six.
