The "Soaked in Bleach" trailer, a preview of the upcoming Emerging Pictures docudrama, explores the oft-floated murder conspiracy theory surrounding Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain's death.

The film specifically focuses on theory that wife Courtney Love was involved in Cobain’s death, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“Soaked in Bleach” is told from the perspective of Tom Grant, the private investigator hired by Love to track down her husband after he disappeared from a rehab facility in 1994, The Huffington Post reported.

The movie will be released in selected theaters and on Vimeo on June 11. It follows “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck,” a documentary released on HBO this month.

Benjamin Statler is the director. Tyler Bryan plays Cobain, Sarah Scott plays Love, and Daniel Roebuck plays Grant.

Cinema Blend describes the film as a fictionalized account of the singer’s death that “feels like an episode of ‘Unsolved Mysteries.’” Cobain’s death was ruled a suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot, yet conspiracy theories persist.

The movie details Grant’s doubts about Cobain’s suicide, such as his belief that there was too much heroin in Cobain’s system for him to have pulled the trigger, inconsistencies with the suicide note, a lack of fingerprints on the shotgun, and the presence of a motive for Love, Cinema Blend said.

Fans posted their excitement about the movie on Twitter.
