Social Media Reaction to Las Vegas Horror Floods In

Reaction to the Las Vegas shooting horror on Sunday night poured in early Monday, ranging from disbelief to sorrow as the death count mounted to at least 50 dead with more than 200 wounded.

Police responded after reports of shots being fired from the Mandalay Bay toward the Route 91 Harvest festival around 10:08 p.m. Sunday local time, CNN reported The suspected shooter Stephen Paddock, 64, was shot and killed by police. He was from Mesquite, Nevada, CNBC reported.

President Donald Trump issued his first statement on the shooting Monday.

His daughter Ivanka Trump added tweets as well.

Country music star Jason Aldean was performing at the time but was able to exit the stage unharmed, CNN said.

"Tonight has been beyond horrific," Aldean said on Instagram Monday morning. "I still don't know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that me and my crew are safe. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night." Some shared video of the incident on social media. Hoaxes also started the pop up on social media as well.

Country music stars shared their shock over the incident on Twitter. United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May expressed her condolences as well.
