Radio show "Something to Think About with Mike Rogers" has brought the voice of the former Michigan Congressman and FBI agent to a whopping 150 stations just seven months after its debut.
"I am thrilled to hit this important milestone," Rogers said in commemorating the milestone.
"To surpass 150 radio stations this fast is really exciting and the feedback from listeners is inspiring! It truly is an honor to be welcomed in to the cars, homes, and businesses of so many people across the country. Sometimes it’s the simplest message that has the greatest impact. Together we are giving America something to think about."
As the U.S. representative for Michigan's 8th congressional district from 2001 to January of this year, Rogers served as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and helped shape national security — including the operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the debate surrounding NSA-leaker Edward Snowden, the search for Malaysia Air 370, and Russia's annexation of Crimea.
His new radio show, "Something to Think About," now airs three times daily on stations including WABC/New York, WLS/Chicago, WIOD/Miami, KDKA, Pittsburgh, KSFO/San Francisco, and many more.
These days, Rogers can be heard discussing everything from the rise of the Islamic State to domestic politics back home. Because he's earned a reputation for traveling to the toughest places on earth, he brings an in-depth knowledge of world affairs, and relates them in ways accessible and engaging to everyday Americans.
"We have been searching for a strong voice that provides a common sense and thought-provoking take on relatable topics that concern all Americans," said Dennis Green of Westwood One, the production company behind the show.
"Mike Rogers brings that home in his commentary, which gives listeners a chance to pause and reflect on the ideals that are important to us all and are without any political bias."
