Starbucks released a new, mostly red holiday cup on Tuesday — the first time the coffee chain has released two different holiday cups in the same season.

The new red cup has a white heart with two hands framing it. Starbucks suggested writing someone’s name in the heart “to recognize those who fill their heart and embody goodness this holiday season,” USA Today reported.

The cups are intended to raise money for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, Business Insider reported. On Dec. 1, World AIDS Day, Starbucks will contribute 25 cents to the Global Fund when customers buy a peppermint mocha, toasted white chocolate mocha, caramel brulee latte, or eggnog latte.

The first holiday cup Starbucks unveiled in November also featured an illustration but was mostly white, with customers being invited to color in the designs, which featured various holiday symbols and ideas. The cup drew backlash from some customers and praise from others for featuring two clasped hands that a video introducing the cup suggested might be the hands of two gay women.

Starbucks says it had planned the second holiday cups before the controversy over the earlier ones erupted, BI reported.

Singer Gwen Stefani tweeted about the new holiday cup and got her fans on board by writing “Blake” on the cup for boyfriend Blake Shelton.
