The first trailer for "Taken 3," or "Tak3n," starring Liam Neeson is out, and fans are eager for the January release of the third film in the series.

In the trailer, Neeson’s character, Bryan Mills, is framed for murder, a departure from previous “Taken” films.

"I have to go on the run, I'll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities," Neeson said of his "Taken" character, according to USA Today. "Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me."

Co-star Forest Whitaker, who plays a pursuing law enforcement agent, praised Neeson’s work: "People are attracted to quiet heroes. Liam's presence has that. He gives people a sense of comfort and security. And he's an excellent actor."

The Hollywood Reporter said the task of running from authorities while trying to keep his daughter safe and determine who killed her mother is “a fitting task for Mills.”

Fans on Twitter were excited by the "Tak3n" trailer.
