Actress Tanya Fear, best known for her role in "Doctor Who," is missing.
Fear's manager, Alex Cole, confirmed on Sunday to Today that Fear's family reported her missing on Sept. 9. Cole explained that he had spoken with Fear, who was living in Hollywood, several days ago about work and she appeared to be fine at the time.
"Since she’s been here, she’s had a great career and this is just the beginning," he told ABC News. "We’re obviously concerned and (hope) we find out this is a simple mistake and we find her."
According to a tweet by one of Fear's cousins, the actress was last seen in the Hollywood Bowl area. Many friends, fans, and community members began sweeping the area in search of Fear. Meanwhile, on social media #FindTanyaFear began trending as Twitter users shared details and updates of Fear's missing person report.
Fear portrayed Dr. Jade McIntyre in 2018 on the television series "Doctor Who." She also appeared in films including "A Moving Image" and 2013’s "Kick-Ass 2," as well as TV shows like "Endeavour," "DCI Banks," and "Midsomer Murders." Most recently, Fear has been pursuing a career as a stand-up comic. In her latest Instagram post, which was posted shortly before her disappearance, Fear revealed that she had performed at the Haha Comedy Club.
"So honored to have had my first show @hahacomedyclub still blows my mind that I shared the stage with LEGENDS!" she captioned a photo of herself on stage.
"Thank you to people that came out to support me, it means everything!" she added. "Thank you to @franklinthomasyi for giving me this amazing opportunity."
