Actor and former NFL player Terry Crews gets overrun by Muppets in his Super Bowl ad for the Toyota Highlander.
The commercial, which was posted on YouTube Tuesday, shows Crews, who plays on the Golden Globe-winning "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," stopping his Toyota Highlander to help out a broken down bus. Before he knows it, the Toyota is taken over by the Muppets in the minute-long commercial.

"Room for a whole flock of chickens, Terry Crews, a grand piano and the Muppets, but no room for boring. Sing along and see the all-new Toyota Highlander in the roomiest Big Game Ad of all time," read a statement accompanying the video.
The Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Sunday at East Rutherford, N.J.'s MetLife Stadium, is one of the most viewed television events in the country annually. The commercials have become as big as the game itself.
"Separately, Terry Crews and the Muppets are awesome; packing them together in one
Super Bowl commercial does little to diminish their charm," the Bleacher Report reported.
Sean O'Connell, of
Cinema Blend, said Toyota's pairing of Crews and the Muppets gets a thumbs up.
"Terry Crews isn’t in 'Muppets Most Wanted.' In fact, this new Super Bowl ad for Toyota doesn’t make mention of the Muppets sequel, at all," O'Connell wrote Wednesday. "And yet, seeing Crews interact with Kermit, Animal and the members of the Electric Mayhem band simultaneously make me want to see the new Muppet movie, buy a Toyota, and possibly tune in to Brooklyn Nine-Nine. So, mission accomplished, Toyota marketing department."
Crews is one of the stars of the series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," which earlier this month won the Golden Globe for Outstanding Comedy Series. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine's" lead Andy Samberg won a Golden Globe for Outstanding Lead in a Comedy Series.
Crews' movie career is flourishing as well; he is scheduled to appear in four movies this year, including "Reach Me" and "Single Moms Club" in March, "Blended" with Adam Sandler in May, the big budget "The Expendables 3" in August and "The Aztec Warrior," which does not have a release date yet.
