The iconic 1980s teen movie “The Breakfast Club” will be shown in theaters in March to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
More than 400 theaters across the country will participate on the two-day run
March 26 and 31, CNN said.
The showing will include bonus interviews with cast members Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall, and John Kapelos.
“The Breakfast Club” set a new standard for teen movies and has maintained its popularity today. Quotes from the movie show up on social media all the time, such as, “We’re all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that’s all.”
Fans are over the moon at the idea of seeing it once more on the big screen.
In celebration of the movie's 30th anniversary,
The Huffington Post offered 15 things you didn’t know about “The Breakfast Club,” including the fact that the original title was the Lunch Bunch.
“Judd Nelson stayed in character and taunted the rest of the cast. He was so rude to Molly Ringwald on set that he was threatened with being fired,” the Post said. Director of photography Tom del Ruth told the site, “He's a total actor in the sense that he could be that character on and off the screen."
The theater showing may introduce the movie to another generation.
