Earl Dennison Woods Jr., the half-brother of golf star Tiger Woods, was arrested in Phoenix Thursday for allegedly making a false bomb threat at the government building where he works.

Woods Jr., 58, is charged with phoning in a threat to the Department of Economic Security at about 8:30 a.m. local time Thursday, police told the Associated Press.

Authorities came after employees informed building security. AP reported that more than 100 people were evacuated before Woods Jr. admitted that the call was meant as a joke.

An unfunny one, in light of the April bombings at the finish line of the Boston marathon. On April 19, 1995, a truck-bomb outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City killed 168 people and injured hundreds more. Anti-government militant Timothy McVeigh was executed in 2001 committing the crime.

Woods was booked on "suspicion of attempting to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass others," police told AP. They said Woods is apologetic and cooperative.

Woods' daughter, Cheyenne Woods, is a professional golfer. The relationship between the half-brothers is strained, according to a 2012 article in Sports Illustrated.
