Servers nationwide are posing online with wide grins and evidence of big tips amounting to more than $54,000, all left by anonymous tippers who write “TipsForJesus” on the receipts, Daily Dot reported. http://www.dailydot.com/lifestyle/tipsforjesus-huge-tips-waitresses-instagram/
A
tipsforjesus Instagram account, apparently run by the person or persons leaving the tips, has photo evidence of many of the receipts. “Doing the Lord’s work one tip at a time,” the profile states.

Comments along with the Instagram photos seem to indicate more than one person may be involved, with the word “we” used several times. And when a
South Bend Tribune story ran saying that servers were still waiting on payment of their tips because of fraud concerns, TipsForJesus posted, along with a shot of a statement showing the cleared amount, “Let's be clear, the Legends of Notre Dame tips were processed by AMEX and paid. tipsforjesus pays it's tabs. God bless! @notredame Your move.”
The story of the generous tips has gone viral, and many servers are going online with suggestions that TipsForJesus stop by their restaurant. Others are just amazed at the kindness and spirit involved.
The tips, which have been left since September, are
spread across the country from Chicago to Ann Arbor, Mich., Eater.com said. TipsForJesus also said some large tips that were left in Ogden, Utah, earlier this year were left without the tagline.
Eater said the big tipper also seems to like football because some of the tips occur after big games, and a few of the receipts have USC’s “Fight On” written on them.
