Police have charged 45-year-old Todd Kohlhepp with four counts of murder and other charges after he reportedly confessed to killing four people at the Superbike Motorsports motorcycle shop in Chesnee, South Carolina, in 2003.

Kohlhepp was arrested at his home Thursday after authorities found Kala Brown chained inside a metal storage container. Brown and her boyfriend Charlie Carver had been missing for two months. Carver’s body was later found shot to death multiple times and buried on the same property where Brown was found, The Associated Press reported. Kohlhepp reportedly owned the property where both were found, according to police.

Sunday morning, Kohlhepp was arraigned on the charges. He was denied bond due to the severity of his crimes. He did not comment in front of the victims’ families, Go Upstate reported.

Kohlhepp is charged in the killings of four employees of the Superbike Motorsports employees after he confessed to police that he did the killings. Solicitor Barry Barnette stated in court that Kohlhepp “knows evidence nobody else would know” about the killings, which happened 13 years ago, Go Upstate note.

Authorities said that more charges against Kohlhepp are likely. Two more bodies were found on Kohlhepp’s property, and Kohlhepp is a suspect in at least three other killings, according to the AP.

Kohlhepp served time in prison for raping a 14-year-old neighbor at gunpoint as a teen and was registered as a sex offender, but he was released from prison in 2001 and obtained a South Carolina real estate license in 2006, the AP said. Sheriff Chuck Wright expressed surprise that Kohlhepp managed to pretend to have a normal life for as long as he did, the AP reported.
