Todd Palin, husband of former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, was in an intensive care unit after a snowmobile crash Sunday left him with eight fractured ribs and other serious injuries, and put a crimp in Donald Trump's last-minute campaign in Florida.
Jim Palin, Todd's father, told
The Associated Press his son also injured his collarbone and lungs in what he called “one of those freak accidents.”
Sarah Palin posted about the accident on Facebook on Tuesday, saying her husband was in surgery and that “once he's cognizant, he'll probably ask docs to duct tape him up and he'll call it good. He's tough.”

Sarah Palin dropped scheduled campaign appearances in Florida for Trump to be with her husband, but the former GOP veep nominee did stop at one event in Tampa on the way to the airport.
"Thank you, guys, for your prayers for my husband who is recovering right now in the ICU after a little wreck on a snowmachine," Palin said, according to the AP.
She had stopped by the Tampa event after canceling other appearances,
