Tom Hanks reunited with his “Cast Away” friend Wilson at a New York Rangers game on Wednesday, delighting fans of both the actor and the movie.

“The duo sat near the ice, presumably catching up and complaining about the price of their kids’ college tuition,” Bleacher Report wrote, expressing a little jealousy of Hanks’ airhead friend. “While we’re all forever alone, Hanks has a friend who will never mess with the thermostat or complain about going to the game — a priceless thing indeed.”

The New York Rangers posted a video of someone throwing Wilson to Hanks, who looked surprised but played right along.

For those who aren’t familiar with the movie, which came out in 2000, here is a scene from where the stranded Hanks, who had passed his time talking to his made-up friend, volleyball Wilson, lost him.

That’s why the word “reunited” came up in most of the media stories about Hanks and Wilson at their Bruins-Rangers game.
