The Ultimate Warrior, one of World Wrestling Federation's most memorable and iconic entertainers, will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this April in New Orleans after an 18-year absence.
"The Ultimate Warrior was the most intense, colorful, competitive and outspoken Superstar in sports entertainment history, and his contributions to WWE were extraordinary," WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon said in a statement this week. "We are thrilled to induct The Ultimate Warrior into the WWE Hall of Fame."

McMahon's statement suggests that the long-standing feud between the WWE chairman and the Ultimate Warrior, born James Brian Hellwig, has ended.
The conflict stemmed from McMahon's termination of
the Ultimate Warrior's contract after the wrestler failed to show up at live events, Yahoo Sports reported.
Adding fuel to the fire, in 2005, WWE released a DVD titled "The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior," which as the title suggests was highly critical of the wrestler.
The Ultimate Warrior subsequently filed a lawsuit against the WWE, in which he claimed the DVD violated a prior agreement from 2000 in which both he and McMahon agreed neither would disparage one another in public.
The case was thrown out by the judge, who found that the contract had been nullified by the Ultimate Warrior, due to disparaging comments he had made about the WWE in public.
In July 2013, video game maker 2K Sports brought the two feuding sides together, at least to some extent, when it announced the WWE 2K14 video game in which the Ultimate Warrior would be a playable character, giving way to a memorable commercial.
The 54-year-old Ultimate Warrior will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5 at the New Orleans Arena.
