A wardrobe malfunction was not enough to trip up Olympic skater Yura Min’s debut in the ice skating team event in South Korea Sunday.
It was just five seconds into Min's performance with her partner Alexander Gamelin when a hook on the back of her outfit came undone, according to The Score.
Fighting a possible Janet Jackson-esque moment while trying not to stop the routine, Min could only do one thing — improvise.
“I was like, 'Oh no!' If that comes undone, the whole thing could just pop off,'" she said later, according to the Detroit Free Press.
“I went from the beginning to the end. I didn’t stop because you get a deduction if you stop in the middle of a program. In my head, I was thinking, ‘Is it better to stop and fix it and get the deduction or keep going?’”
The pair, who are both American-born but represent South Korea at the Winter Games, continued on with the routine, and ended up finishing in ninth place out of 10 teams. They won the approval of the crowd and commentators, though, The Sun reported.
The duo still has a chance to redeem themselves at the individual pairs comepetition, which begins Feb. 18, according to Yahoo Sports.
