A rogue Wendy's franchise in Canada has stopped selling the massive, nine-patty T-Rex burger after an ad for the sandwich went viral on Reddit this week.
The T-Rex burger originated as a satirical spoof ad years ago in Sports Illustrated but a Wendy's branch in Manitoba, Canada, has actually been selling two or three of the gigantic burgers a day to local customers.

The $21.99 sandwich contains nine quarter-pounders, more than 3,000 calories, 200 grams of fat, and 6,000 milligrams of sodium — that’s enough to last the average adult four days.
But after someone posted about it on social news site Reddit earlier this week, Wendy's heads put the nix on the T-Rex burger.
"For obvious reasons, Wendy's neither condones nor promotes the idea of anyone consuming a nine-patty hamburger in one sitting," Barb Barker, an administrative assistant for the Manitoba franchise, said in a statement.
Wendy's is already in the spotlight this week after a photograph of an employee with his mouth open underneath a Frosty machine surfaced on Reddit. The employee has since been fired.
"We don't know the exact date the photo was taken, but we believe in it was in May," a Wendy's spokesman said in a statement. "The incident was totally inappropriate, and we're taking it very seriously."
