"I figured if I'm wet, he might as well be wet too."
That was the sentiment of a wife who was caught on TV dousing her husband with beer following a homerun at a Chicago Cubs game Wrigley Field on Sunday.
The unidentified man is seen stretching for the homerun ball as it sails over his wife's head, in the process causing her to spill some of her beer from his cup onto his wife who is crouched below. The husband leans back a second later to have a cup of beer thrown in his face.

In a post-game interview with MLB.com, the beer drenched victim told the reporter that he was actually trying to protect his wife from the ball – that did come dangerously close to hitting her, when he spilt the beer on her.
"Trying to protect my lovely wife Ellen, and I accidentally spilled [her] beer on her."
Not allowing him to finish the story, Ellen interrupted her husband.
"I just got livid, and took my beer and splooshed it in his face," she said while laughing. "Cause I figured if I'm wet, he might as well be wet too."
The couple immediately learned that their embarrassing incident had been caught on TV when they began receiving texts from friends.
"I didn't think they'd show me pouring the beer on him," Ellen added. "Sorry honey."

When asked if he was still in the "dog house," the somewhat emasculated man said, "I don't know, I don't know yet."
A still laughing Ellen interjected, "I think I got my payback, I think we're good."
The happy couple then high-fived as the husband quipped, "oh good, we're even."
