A bus carrying passengers around the playa of Nevada's Black Rock Desert for the Burning Man counterculture festival struck and killed a 29-year-old Wyoming woman attending the event on Thursday.
The Associated Press reported the Pershing County sheriff's office as identifying the victim as Alicia Louise Cipicchio of Jackson. No other injuries were reported.
Event spokesman Jim Graham says the incident happened just after midnight near Center Camp in the temporary village named Black Rock City. He says Cipicchio was pronounced dead on the scene about 100 miles north of Reno.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reported Cipicchio was a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, where she studied art. She worked at RARE Gallery of Fine Art in Teton County near Yellowstone National Park.
Earlier in the week, a rare desert rain deluge forced organizers to temporarily close off the event on Monday and part of Tuesday.
Standing water made a muddy mess Monday morning of the playa 90 miles north of Reno, where numerous vehicles were stuck and northbound traffic on State Highway 447 was being turned back toward Reno.
Last year, a record 68,000 people attended the event that runs through the Labor Day weekend.
