Yahoo is expanding its streaming offerings, announcing two new original series on Monday.
"Other Space," a science fiction comedy, and "Sin City Saints," a comedy about a fictional pro basketball franchise, will premiere on the video platform Yahoo Screen and through Apple TV and Roku.
No release dates have been announced, but like Netflix's "House of Cards," all of the episodes will be available at the same time.

Yahoo is attempting to duplicate the success of Netflix, which found success with Emmy Award-winning "House of Cards" and Emmy-nominated "Arrested Development."
"Though Yahoo has made dubious attempts at short-form entertainment in the past, the shows represent its maiden voyage into TV-style scripted series, the likes of which have transformed Netflix into an entertainment powerhouse,"
Brian Anthony Hernandez, of Mashable, wrote.
Yahoo tapped "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig to be the executive producer of "Other Space." Mike Tollin, the executive producer of "Smallville," and Bryan Gordon, the director of "One Tree Hill" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," will produce "Sin City Saints."
"We want the world's best show runners, writers, and directors to tell the best stories,"
Yahoo Chief Marketing Officer Kathy Savitt told Variety.
Savitt said that Yahoo has an advantage over Netflix.
"They tend not to release the (measurement) numbers because it's difficult to get quantity for even the most acclaimed shows," Savitt said. "The reason we're different is we drive big audiences."
Marissa Mayer, Yahoo's CEO, told Variety last year that she sees Yahoo Screen as a major opportunity for Yahoo to gain web traffic.
"We are working hard to drive traffic and video views and will make this a primary area of investment over the next year," Mayer said last July. "We think there is room for lots of players and video really comes down to the question of the content."
