Quadruplet brothers from Ohio all have chosen to attend Yale University after being accepted to a total of 59 schools, including Harvard.
Aaron, Nick, Nigel, and Zachary Wade appeared on the "Today" show to reveal their choice Monday. The boys all took their jackets off and showed Yale shirts to signify their choices.
Aaron nearly chose Stanford rather than Yale, but ultimately decided to go with Yale.
The brothers applied to the ivy leagues and others without telling their parents, who said they didn’t have the resources to send four children to an Ivy League school, according to NBC News. Yale offered the brothers a generous financial aid package, however, which eased the parents’ fears.
The brothers will be the second set of quadruplets to attend Yale in recent years. The Crouch quads attended in 2010 and found it was easy to find their own niches there, according to NBC.
While the Wade quadruplets intend to have different areas of study, they like knowing “there is someone there for us in 15 minutes,” Zach said, NBC reported.
The brothers have gotten media attention from various outlets after their acceptances, and the New York Times published their powerful essays that detailed each quad’s journey toward becoming an individual.
They got many congratulations and mentions on Twitter.
