Youppi!, the mascot for the Montreal Canadiens hockey team, showed his good sportsmanship over the weekend by complying with the terms of a bet with Jimmy Fallon that saw the bearded rep parade around town in a New York Rangers jersey.
It all started a few weeks ago when the team and "The Tonight Show" host agreed upon a bet: If the Canadiens won the NHL Eastern Conference matchup against the Rangers, Fallon would have to wear a Montreal jersey during one of his on-air monologues. If the Rangers won, the losing team would not only have to change its Twitter avatar to a photo of Fallon's choosing, but they would have to post 10 Twitter photos of a sad Youppi! in a Rangers jersey.

Needless to say, the Rangers beat the Canadiens 4-2.
"The Canadiens' biggest fan and mascot, Youppi!, had a nightmare of a day on Sunday, as he was forced to wear a New York Rangers jersey and trudge through Montreal's streets,
hanging his head in shame," wrote Canada's CTV News. "The big, fuzzy orange mascot's day of humiliation came at the hands of Jimmy Fallon, a late night American talk show host and New York Rangers fan."
The bet reportedly came after a similar wager between Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh in the Eastern Conference semifinal, which ultimately led to Walsh flying the Canadiens'
flag outside Boston City Hall, according to CBC News.
