Zoe Kravitz made headlines at Monday's Met Gala for a near-wardrobe malfunction thanks to a thigh-high slit in her Michael Kors gown, but it turns out the actress daughter of singer Lenny Kravitz was, in fact, wearing underwear.
The Daily Mail reported that Kravitz nearly flashed the cameras on the Gala's red carpet as she posed for pictures on the steps of New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

"It's fashion's most glamorous event but not everyone manages to get it spot on," the British gossip newspaper noted. "She didn't appear too jovial as she inadvertently showed off more than she anticipated in the glare of photographers' flash bulbs. Along with the leggy look, Zoe, 25, displayed some major cleavage twisting and turning at every angle to ensure she showed off her best side."
A costar in the Marvel movie "X-Men: First Class," Kravitz also appeared in Will Smith's "After Earth" last year and this year's hit "Divergent." She is scheduled to appear in the big-budget "Mad Max: Fury Road" with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron next year.
Not to be outdone, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian also had an underwear flash in her blue Lanvin dress as she attended the Met Gala with fiancé rapper Kanye West.
"Pleased with her look for the soiree she joined arrivals and eagerly posed for baying photographers unaware she was showing more than she bargained for," the Daily Mail reported. "The 33-year-old . . . also sported a chunky belt, along with strappy black sandals."
Kravitz and Kardashian were not the only stars making a name for themselves for all the wrong reasons on the Met Gala red carpet.
"For example, Kate Upton's black sheer getup that looks like it's from a creepy Victorian ghost store, and Sandra Lee, who looked like a fairy godmother we definitely
wouldn't want to dress us for the ball," E! Online reported.
