Boxing legend Muhammad Ali was rushed to a hospital just days after making a rare public appearance at the funeral of former foe Joe Frazier, according to reports Friday.
The 69-year-old Ali, who has Parkinson’s disease, was taken from his home in Paradise Valley, Ariz., to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center on Nov. 19 after passing out, Star magazine and
Radar Online said.
Ali’s wife, Yolanda, called 911 from the home and said her husband was unconscious,
Fox News said. Ali was taken to the hospital before paramedics arrived.
It was not known how long Ali remained at the hospital, but he reportedly spent the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with family members in Las Vegas.
The incident occurred just five days after Ali appeared at the funeral in Philadelphia of Smokin’ Joe Frazier, who gave “The Greatest” his first loss in 1971.
Frazier died Nov. 7 at age 67, just weeks after being diagnosed with liver cancer.
