White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany hailed a RealClearPolitics polling average flip to President Donald Trump in the final week before before Tuesday's Election Day.
McEnany tweeted Saturday:
"President @realDonaldTrump officially takes the LEAD in ARIZONA."
The most recent poll in the RealClearPolitics to turn the average into Trump's favor is the Rasmussen Reports poll Thursday that gives Trump a 4 percentage point edge over Democrat Joe Biden (49% to 45%). Also, the Trafalgar Group poll gives Trump a 2.5 percentage point lead, 48.9%-46.5%.
Both the Rasmussen Reports and Trafalgar Group polls are generally regarded as more favorable to Republicans and both were the most accurate in the 2016 presidential election surprise.
Trump leads by 0.6% in the RealClearPolitics polling average and all of the recent polls favoring Biden are vitual ties within the polling margin of error.
