U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Arizona seized more than 400 pounds of drugs last week that carried a value of almost $1 million.

Seven people, including five U.S. citizens and two Mexicans, were arrested after the drugs were found.

The Arizona Republic cites a USCBP release that claims officers found 412 pounds of methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine on people and in vehicles in seven separate incidents from April 11-13. The total value of the drugs was more than $919,000.

The biggest seizure of the seven incidents came on April 11, when officers discovered about 23 pounds of heroin hidden in a car driven by an 18-year-old Mexican man. The drugs were worth more than $400,000.

The DEA said in December that heroin seizures at the border since 2010 have more than doubled.
