A comedian who said he was "fascinated" with the rise of Donald Trump has written a children's book about the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

Michael Ian Black's book is called "A Child's First Book of Trump" and is a humorous take on the real estate mogul who has risen to the top of the GOP.

"The premise was sort of how do you explain Donald Trump to a child," Black told Business Insider.

"So, it's sort of the idea as if he were a wild animal, how would you describe him and how do you deal with him, and it's meant to be lighthearted and silly, but it's also a little bit cutting, I hope."

According to Amazon.com, one passage of the book reads:

"The beasty is called an American Trump.
Its skin is bright orange, its figure is plump.
Its fur so complex you might get enveloped.
Its hands though are, sadly, underdeveloped."

The "hands" mention is a reference to the spat Trump had with Florida Sen. and former presidential candidate Marco Rubio.

"I've been fascinated like the rest of the country," Black told Business Insider. "And like the rest of the country, I was totally wrong about every aspect of him and his campaign in terms of its endurance and plausibility."

Another humorous story involving Trump emerged Thursday from The Washington Post, where columnist Dana Milbank literally ate his own words regarding his prediction about Trump earning the Republican nomination.
