Dolly Parton expressed her support for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during an interview with
The New York Times, saying Clinton "might make as good a president as anybody ever has."
The country singer joked that if either Clinton or Donald Trump are elected president, "we're gonna be plagued with PMS either way — presidential mood swings!"
"I personally think a woman would do a great job," Parton said. "I think Hillary is very qualified" and "if she gets it, I'll certainly be behind her."
Clinton, who is also a fan of Parton, took to Twitter and posted a photo from 1995 of herself dressed as Parton at her birthday party:
