President Donald Trump's son Eric on Monday defended his sister Ivanka's appearance at the Olympics closing ceremony after an Olympian criticized her.

Freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy tweeted before the ceremony: "So proud of all these people! Everybody here has worked so hard to make it to the Olympics and have the opportunity to walk in the closing ceremony! Well... Everyone except Ivanka. Honestly, tf is she doing here??"

"It's gross. It's disgusting," Trump said on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" the day after the closing ceremony.

"Ivanka's beautiful. She's elegant. She was an incredible representative of this country and we should be very proud of her.

"It should bother us as a society. Can you imagine if Sasha or Malia [Obama] went over to the Olympics and somebody said that about them? That's not what the Olympics is about," he added.
