Two of 35 Russian diplomats expelled as part of President Barack Obama's response to hacking of U.S. political organizations are also on the FBI's Most Wanted list, LawNewz.com reported Thursday.

Evgeniy Bogachev is wanted on a number of charges, including conspiracy, bank fraud, wire fraud, computer fraud, money laundering, and identity theft, according to the legal news website – and was indicted under an online nickname in 2012, and again under his real name in 2014. There is a reward of up to $3 million for information leading to his arrest.

In addition, Alexsey Belan is wanted for computer intrusion, aggravated identity theft, and fraud in connection with a computer, according to LawNewz.com.

Federal warrants were issued for him in June 2012 and September 2013, and the FBI is offering up to $100,000 for information leading to his arrest.

The 35 diplomats and their families were given 72 hours to leave the United States.

"These actions follow repeated private and public warnings that we have issued to the Russian government, and are a necessary and appropriate response to efforts to harm U.S. interests in violation of established international norms of behavior," Obama said in a statement announcing the actions.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper issued a statement Thursday reiterating the agency's confidence the Russian government was involved in the US hacking ahead of the November election, CNN reported.

"This activity by Russian intelligence services is part of a decade-long campaign of cyber-enabled operations directed at the U.S. Government and its citizens," the statement read. "The U.S. Government can confirm that the Russian government, including Russia's civilian and military intelligence services, conducted many of the activities generally described by a number of these security companies."
