New undergraduates at George Washington University are being told they must attend a mandatory workshop on the prevention of sexual assault or they won't be able to register for spring classes.
That's in addition to an online program called "Think About It" which both male and female students must complete, reports The GW Hatchet, an independent student newspaper.
For the mandatory workshop, students may choose from topics including: healthy relationships; sexual assault prevention; relationship violence prevention; bystander intervention and LGBT assault issues.
The Hatchet says the workshops will cover the definitions of consent and sexual assault as well as outline the university's policies on sexual misconduct.
