A Houston television reporter, who posted pro-Donald Trump comments on her Facebook page, has been fired, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Scarlett Fakhar was let go on Thursday by KRIV-TV, a Fox television affiliate.
"Fox 26 Houston fired me today for expressing my conservative views on my private Facebook page," she wrote on Facebook. "That is all I will say for now."
Her dismissal comes after she had apologized for celebrating Trump's victory in a Facebook post, which has since been deleted.
"I prayed for the best leader that will turn this country that has become more violent and racist under the Obama administration than ever … into the America I once knew," she wrote.
Later she said: "I need to profusely apologize for making public my personal views on the outcome of the election…It was wholly inappropriate, as a journalist, to do that."
