Fox News host Jesse Watters is taking the rest of the week off from his new primetime spot after he was accused of making an inappropriate comment about Ivanka Trump on the air.
"I am taking a vacation with my family," the political humorist said Wednesday night on "The Five." "I will not be here tomorrow, try not to miss me too much."
Kimberly Guilfoyle "will be hosting my show on Saturday," he said.
Watters, a protégé of former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly, hosts his own show Saturday nights. This week, in the wake of O'Reilly's firing, Fox shifted around its lineup and added Watters to "The Five," a roundtable show that airs 9 p.m.
During Tuesday night's show, Watters joked about Ivanka Trump's voice after a clip of her speaking in Germany was played. Some accused Watters of making a sex joke, a claim he denied in a Wednesday morning tweet.
O'Reilly was fired weeks after The New York Times reported five women who had accused O'Reilly of verbal or sexual assault had been paid off over the years. Last summer, the network's CEO Roger Ailes was let go after he was accused of sexual harassment.
O'Reilly took a vacation after advertisers started leaving his show, and he never returned to the network's airwaves.
A lawyer who played a role in O'Reilly getting fired threatened Wednesday to do the same to Watters.
