President Donald Trump's July 4 celebration in Washington, D.C., will include tanks, fighter jets and the next generation "Marine One" presidential helicopter, per a report in McClatchy.

The VH-92A twin-engine helicopter is not in official use yet but will be unveiled at the July 4 event.

The U.S. Navy in early June awarded a $542 million contract to Sikorsky to build six new VH-92As, which replace the current VH-3D and VH-60N helicopters used to ferry Trump and his staff worldwide.

The helicopter is larger than the company's Blackhawk helicopter and is being fitted with executive suite furnishings to allow the president to ride in style, according to a report in Popular Mechanics.

Trump wants his July 4 event to be special and Monday said a display of U.S. military tanks will be part of the event. So far, photographers have spotted at least two M1A1 Abrams tanks and two Bradley Fighting Vehicles on flatcars in a railyard at the southeastern edge of Washington.

Trump had wanted a military parade of tanks and other equipment after he witnessed a similar parade on Bastille Day in Paris in 2017. That plan eventually was scuttled, partly because of cost, though Trump apparently held on to the idea.
