The military airplane and helicopters doing loops over Manhattan that unnerved countless New Yorkers last week were conducting "emergency relocation" exercises to relocate President-elect Donald Trump, DNAinfo reported.

The C-130 airplane and two HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters conducted drills over the city for 40 minutes, preparing for any eventuality that would required extracting Trump from the city, the report said.

"It was the military doing their homework," DNAinfo was told. "They were making plans how to remove him, mapping plans and strategizing."

The New York City Police Department was only given short notice about the drills and the public wasn't told at all, DNAinfo reported.

"Usually when there is a flyover, we get something through our Operations unit. It's sent out to everybody," DNAinfo quoted NYPD Commissioner James O'Neill the day after the flyover.
