Former Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota was spotted filming "Sharknado 3" in front of the White House Wednesday.

The made-for-TV movie, which will air on the SyFy channel in July, is a tale in which sharks infest and rain down on entire cities in a massive tornado. These shark attacks will now hit Washington in this third offering, The Hill is reporting.

Bachmann, who did not run for re-election in 2014, left office earlier this year, but is doing a cameo appearance in the forthcoming "Sharknado 3."

"I believe they are growing in size. Congress has to take this seriously because sharknado is a real phenomenon," Bachmann was saying in the scene, before saying that she had to leave to go vote in Congress, The Huffington Post reported.

"It wasn't anything offensive, it was just fun," the former presidential candidate said about why she agreed to appear in the movie. "This was a total stretch for me!"

"Sharknado 3" also includes Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, who will play the president and conservative commentator Ann Coulter as vice president.
