MSNBC has canceled Joy Reid's midday program, "The Reid Report," Mediaite reports,  citing two inside sources.

"Ronan Farrow Daily" will also be canceled, according to MSNBC, which said it would reorganize its daytime lineup and transition Farrow into a special correspondent who will contribute to prime-time specials and other programs rather than host his own show.

Reid reportedly was informed of her show's status on Thursday, but it was unclear when it will be taken off the air.

"The Reid Report" airs at 2 p.m. Eastern, following "Ronan Farrow Daily." Both shows have struggled in the ratings and have been rumored to be subject to cancellation. Reid's ratings have been higher than Farrow's.

Farrow, Reid, and Chris Hayes, who hosts a primetime show, all have been rumored in the past to be in danger of losing their low-rated shows.

The liberal-leaning MSNBC's ratings overall have trailed those of CNN and conservative-leaning Fox News Channel for some time. This week's overall ratings show FNC more than doubling second-place CNN and third-place MSNBC combined.
