Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is not a proponent of same sex marriage, even though he has family members who themselves are gay,
reports CBSlocal.com.
The NFL MVP voiced his opinion during a recent interview with Sirius/XM NFL radio, when he was asked what he thought about the Vikings move to cut longtime punter Chris Kluwe, himself an outspoken advocate for gay rights and gay marriage.
Peterson, who said he considers Kluwe a good friend, brought the conversation around to the issue of gay marriage.
“I have relatives who are gay,” Peterson said.
“I’m not biased towards them. I still treat them the same. I love ‘em.
But again, I’m not with that. That’s not something I believe in.
But to each his own.”
