Former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning made an appearance at the White House, a New York Times reporter tweeted Sunday.
Manning, a two-time Super Bowl champion, apparently joined Trump and Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker on a golf outing at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia. Manning played college football for the University of Tennessee.
Trump left the White House to play golf before 8 a.m. and returned four-and-a-half hours later.
A photographer for the Associated Press took a picture of Manning and Corker outside the White House with members of their entourage carrying golf bags. Following his retirement last year from football, rumors swirled that Manning might run in 2020 for senator of Tennessee.
