Rand Paul Wants Gruber Investigated

Sen. Rand Paul says he wants MIT economics professor Jonathan Gruber investigated, and if it is determined he purposely lied to get Obamacare passed he should have to return his pay.

Gruber was paid nearly $400,000 to help craft the Affordable Care Act. When pay from other agencies and several states are added, his income totaled about $6 million.

"He was paid, and now he's admitted that he was deceptive and deceitful," Paul said Monday on Fox News Channel's "Hannity."

Gruber has been the subject of several videos released over the past week showing him at public events and in television interviews admitting the law was purposely written in a vague fashion to keep the public from knowing they would be paying higher premiums.

In one, he said the convoluted language played on "the stupidity of the American voter."

Paul told Fox News he wants to know who organized Gruber's contracts with other states to help set up their healthcare exchanges after Obamacare passed – whether Gruber marketed himself or someone in government secured the deals to enrich him.
