Rush Limbaugh: 'All-Out Assault on Conservative Way of Life'

Calling it an "all-out assault on the conservative way of life," radio host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday the White House and mainstream media see conservatives as a bigger threat than Islamic terrorists or Chinese hackers.

That's because conservatives threaten President Barack Obama's domestic political agenda, Limbaugh told his radio audience.

The Daily Caller posted audio of the broadcast onto YouTube:

"I'm telling you, folks, there is an all-out assault on the conservative way of life," Limbaugh said.

American conservatives are seen as the threat, he said, while Islamic State (ISIS) militants threatening attacks on U.S. soil and Chinese hackers getting into the personnel files of 18 million government employees are not.

"I'm telling you that as far as people like Obama and [White House senior adviser] Valerie Jarrett and everybody in the regime and the media, the threat they face is domestic political opposition," he said. "ISIS is not threatening their power. The ChiComs [Limbaugh's name for Chinese communists] are not threatening their power. ChiComs are not here. ISIS is not here."

But Republicans and conservatives are here, he said, and run against them in elections, threatening their hold on power.

"The biggest threat they think they face is us," he said. "So anything that happens — such as this just horrible sad event in Charleston, South Carolina — immediately becomes something totally unrelated to what happened in the event."

Southern culture is considered conservative, he said, and that is the reason they are going after the Confederate battle flag, repeating his words from Tuesday. Limbaugh said the South is being targeted because it is the last geographic Republican stronghold.

"I mean, how does Obama talk about Fox News compared to the Iranians, for example?" he said.
