Sean Hannity tore into Joe Scarborough on Thursday, saying the "Morning Joe" co-host had a "complete mental and emotional breakdown" on TV when he alleged that President Donald Trump is "mentally unstable" in the early stages of dementia.
"All of the stress at NBC News seems to be getting to crazy liberal Joe Scarborough. Earlier today, Liberal Joe had a complete mental and emotional breakdown on national television," Hannity on his Fox News show.
On Thursday morning, Scarborough told viewers on his MSNBC program that Trump is so "completely detached from reality" and a danger to the nation and urged his Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.
"You know you don't serve Donald J. Trump, scam developer, scam … Trump University proprietor, reality TV show host, you don't represent him. You represent 320 million people whose lives are literally in your hands and we are facing a showdown with a nuclear power," Scarborough said, referring to threats from North Korea.
"People close to him during the campaign told me he had early stages of dementia. Now, listen, you can get mad at me … When are we supposed to say this? After the first nuclear missile goes? Is that when it's proper to … talk about a mentally unstable president in the White House?"
Hannity responded: "Now we have Dr. Liberal Joe. He's diagnosing on television in the morning. Instead of worrying about a nuclear holocaust with North Korea, maybe Liberal Joe, maybe he should worry about getting his emotions in check and not letting this obsessive compulsive nonstop hatred of President Trump send him over the edge. Joe, you need help."
