Want to get out of town this summer? How about Spain?
Spain will begin welcoming international tourists back to the country in July, EuroNews reports.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said the country is working toward reopening this summer.
He said Saturday the country's soccer league will resume operations in June and possibly open to the public the month after.
"Foreign tourists can therefore now plan their holidays," he said.
A mandatory two-week quarantine policy for incoming travelers is set to expire July 1.
Foreign Minister Arancha González tweeted Monday:
"The worst is behind us. In JULY we will gradually open [Spain] to international tourists, lift the quarantine, [and] ensure the highest standards of health safety,"
Spain has the second-highest number of logged coronavirus cases in Europe with 235,000. The country has been on a strict lockdown since mid-March.
