Blagojevich Calls On Gov't to Play All Wiretaps

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has reiterated his call for federal prosecutors to play all of the secret recordings they used to build their corruption case against him at his trial.

Blagojevich called the prosecutors overseeing his case "cowards and liars" during a news conference he organized Tuesday. He did not take any questions after addressing reporters.

The ousted governor complained that prosecutors don't want all the wiretapped conversations that led to his arrest played in court because they're trying to cover up something.

Blagojevich is accused of scheming to sell or trade President Barack Obama's former U.S. Senate seat and illegally pressuring potential campaign contributors for money. He has pleaded not guilty. His trial is scheduled to start June 3.
